Faculty Council
The university faculty has primary responsibility for academic programs, scholarly activity, and questions of faculty personnel review and retention. Faculty also has an advisory or participatory role in other areas of university governance. The authority of the university faculty to carry out these duties is delegated to the Faculty Council. The structure and responsibility of Faculty Council is more fully discussed in the Faculty Handbook available on-line through the Faculty Council Web page. The Faculty Council meets on the first Wednesday of every month during the academic year (see the agendas on the web page). The meetings, unless particular business precludes this, are open to all faculty and their guests.
