Writing Center

The Writing Center is a free service offered to DePaul students who would like help with their writing projects, helping undergraduate and graduate students with writing projects including essay assignments; research papers; case studies; masters’ theses; and application documents (resumes, letters, personal statements, etc.).

The Writing Center also assists students in developing writing skills such as developing ideas; introducing thesis statements; revising and editing documents; implementing research strategies; improving proofreading skills; and assisting with citation formats.

The Writing Center staff is made up of undergraduate and graduate students nominated by faculty. Tutors receive special training in a full-credit class taught by the Writing Center director. The Writing Center is part of the Department of English and is supported in part by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
